Visiting Researchers

The News, Technology, and Society Network exists principally to foster external engagement with researchers at other universities and with industry representatives.

To this end, we have a visiting researchers program where academics or representatives from the news media industry are welcomed to campus for short visits (up to a week to give a talk, facilitate a workshop, or get a taste of the Network’s intellectual community) or longer, semester-long visits to undertake a more sustained collaborative project.

Visiting researchers can be from academia or industry and at early, mid-, or senior career stages. Visiting researchers who stay for a longer period are normally given an RMIT email address, library access, and access to a hot desk (if one is available).
